Position Overview:
As the UX/UI Design Lead, you will be responsible for guiding the design strategy for our drone products and platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to create intuitive and visually compelling user experiences. You will lead a talented team of designers, fostering a culture of innovation and user-centered design while ensuring alignment with our brand identity and product goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of 1-2 UX/UI designers, fostering creativity and professional growth.
- Establish design best practices, guidelines, and processes for the team.
- User Research:
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define user personas, journey maps, and use cases.
- Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and gather user feedback to inform design decisions.
- Interaction and Visual Design:
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications.
- Develop and maintain a cohesive design system that ensures a consistent user experience across all product touchpoints.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineers to ensure the feasibility of designs and oversee the implementation of user interface components.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to align brand strategy with user experience.
- Performance Metrics:
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of design initiatives.
- Advocate for users and ensure design solutions meet the needs of both the business and end-users.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven portfolio showcasing strong skills in interaction design, visual design, and user research.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.
- Strong understanding of usability principles, accessibility standards, and user-centered design methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to present and articulate design concepts to various stakeholders.
- Passion for technology and innovation, particularly in the drone or aerospace industry.
