Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Extracellular Vesicles (EV) Process Development Scientist to support our research and development efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in downstream chromatography, filtration processes, and process development. This role will play a crucial part in advancing our EV-based therapeutic platforms, contributing to the optimization and scale-up of key bioprocessing workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop downstream chromatography and filtration processes in support of process development and characterization activities.
• Execute production runs and compile associated development reports to support the tech transfer of processes to manufacturing.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of upstream and downstream processes.
• Optimize purification strategies using techniques such as Affinity, Ion Exchange (IEX), Reverse Phase (RP), and Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC).
• Operate and troubleshoot purification systems, including AKTA and UNICORN, and/or HPLC-MALS.
• Conduct small- to mid-scale chromatography and tangential flow filtration experiments.
• Analyze cell growth parameters such as cell count, viability, and culture condition monitoring.
• Perform protein marker analysis using ELISA, flow cytometry, and particle analysis techniques (NTA, DLS, Nano Flow).
• Support process development initiatives and contribute to experimental design and data interpretation.
 
Required Qualifications:
 
• Ph.D. in Bio/Chem Engineering, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Cellular/Molecular Biology, Nanoparticle Technology, or related fields. 
• Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and scale-up.
• Extensive expertise in purification techniques including Affinity, IEX, RP, SEC, and the use of AKTA, UNICORN, and/or HPLC-MALS systems.
• Practical experience with small- to mid-scale chromatography and tangential flow filtration.
• Strong background in analytical techniques such as ELISA, flow cytometry, NTA, DLS, Nano Flow, and macromolecular characterization.
