工作內容
We are seeking a highly skilled Thermal Engineer to support the design, analysis, and optimization of AC/DC filters for automotive traction inverters and AI busbars for data centers. This role involves conducting Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure thermal performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Technical Skills
1. Simulation & Analysis Tools:
- CFD Tools: ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS Icepak
- FEA Tools: ANSYS Mechanical
- Thermal Network Modeling: MATLAB/Simulink/Python/C++
2. Power Electronics & Thermal Management:
- Understanding of loss mechanisms in power inductors, capacitors, and busbars
- Knowledge of forced convection, conduction, radiation, and liquid cooling systems
- Familiarity with high-frequency AC losses, eddy current heating, and magnetic hysteresis losses
3. Material Science & Manufacturing:
- Knowledge of thermally conductive materials, phase change materials (PCM), and dielectric insulation
- Experience with casting, extrusion, and PCB-integrated thermal management
4. Testing & Validation:
- Experience in thermal imaging, heat flow analysis, and infrared thermography
- Ability to design and execute thermal cycling, accelerated life testing, and power cycling tests
Key Responsibilities :
1. Thermal Simulation & Analysis
- Perform CFD simulations using ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS Icepak, or other CFD tools to analyze heat dissipation, airflow, and cooling strategies.
- Conduct FEA simulations with ANSYS Mechanical for thermal stress, structural integrity, and reliability analysis.
- Optimize thermal performance of common-mode and differential chokes, considering losses, core heating, and cooling methods.
- Develop cooling strategies for AI busbars, ensuring thermal efficiency in high-power, high-density data center applications.
2. Design & Development Support
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and EMC engineers to design thermally optimized filters and busbars.
- Propose innovative cooling solutions (e.g., liquid cooling, phase-change materials, heat sinks, forced air convection) to improve thermal efficiency.
- Support the selection of materials, coatings, and insulation for improved thermal performance and longevity.
3. Prototyping & Testing
- Validate simulation results with experimental testing using thermal cameras, sensors, and IR imaging.
- Define and execute thermal reliability tests (e.g., thermal cycling, power cycling, accelerated life testing) for compliance with automotive and data center standards.
4. Compliance & Standards
- Ensure designs meet automotive (AEC-Q200) and data center(ASHRAE) thermal standards.
- Collaborate with regulatory teams to ensure certification and qualification of thermal designs.
5. Collaboration & Reporting
- Work in a cross-functional team with mechanical, power electronics, and EMC engineers.
- Present findings and recommendations via technical reports, design reviews, and customer meetings.
