In the modern workplace, efficient and reliable collaboration solutions are crucial. As an AI Application Developer at Synology, you will work closely with our teams to enhance internal processes and systems, accelerating innovation through GenAI/ML, such as adapting LLMs to answer complex technical questions. Your contributions will be vital in optimizing workflows and shaping how our departments develop next-generation solutions.
You will:
- Develop advanced AI-powered productivity solutions, encompassing both front-end and back-end aspects, to enhance the capabilities of our employees and partners
- Develop and optimize AI-powered applications using commercially available LLMs, leveraging techniques like retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic AI to enhance application performance and efficiency
- Regularly engage with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, QA, marketing, sales, support, and more

You are expected to have::
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience in both front-end and back-end development
- Deep understanding or hands-on experience with emerging AI technologies, applications, and workflows
- Solid understanding of modern generative AIs, LLMs, and their limitations
- Familiarity with SQL and vector database technologies, including FAISS, Weaviate, PostgreSQL, SQLite
- Comfortable working in Linux & Windows environments
We're targeting candidates with:
- Practical experience in developing AI-powered applications, particularly involving modern LLMs
- Experience working on projects that tackled operational challenges or optimization in an organization
- Experience in fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs
- Hands-on experience in developing applications leveraging agentic AI concepts and methodologies
- Strong analytical and communication skills, capable of understanding and clearly articulating complex concepts
