Position: Contract Lecturer in English Language Education
About the Position
The Language Center at Chang Gung University invites applications for a Contract Instructor/Lecturer position in English Language Education. We seek an innovative and student-centered educator who is committed to AI-enhanced language teaching and learning. While native English speakers are preferred, applicants of all nationalities with excellent English proficiency and appropriate qualifications are warmly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
• Teach undergraduate English courses, including General English and EAP/ESP.
• Integrate AI technologies into curriculum design, classroom instruction, assessment, and student learning.
• Design and implement innovative AI-enhanced language learning initiatives.
• Contribute to curriculum development, student assessment, faculty workshops, and other Language Center activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues on teaching innovation and curriculum enhancement.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
• A Master's degree or above in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English, Education, EMI, Educational Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated excellence in English language teaching at the tertiary level.
• Experience integrating AI technologies into teaching, curriculum design, or assessment.
• A strong commitment to innovative pedagogy and student-centered learning.
• Ability to work effectively in an international and collaborative academic environment.
The following qualifications are considered advantageous:
• Experience with generative AI, learning analytics, educational technology, or digital pedagogy.
• Professional experience related to AI and language education.
• Experience in EMI, EAP/ESP curriculum development, or teacher training.

Terms of Employment
Successful applicants are expected to comply with the provisions of Chang Gung University's Contract Instructor Employment Agreement and to actively contribute to the University's long-term AI-enhanced English education initiatives.

Employment Period
• Expected commencement: February 1, 2027 (or as mutually agreed).
• Initial appointment: Through July 31, 2027, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and the University's staffing needs.
